Job Overview

Distribution Operations Specialists are at the heart of Parts Town. Every part that enters or leaves our warehouse is handled directly by a member of our warehouse staff. While all Operations Specialists begin in our packing stations, ultimately the responsibilities of picking, shipping, and receiving of all merchandise will be added to their job functions. From the condition of the package to the accuracy of the items shipped, the quality of the orders our customers receive is a direct reflection of our Operations team’s dedication to excellence. Therefore, while no previous operations experience is required, it is essential that all Distribution Operations Specialists are committed to quality, ensuring that every customer experience is a positive one. Furthermore, Operations Specialists are required to perform tasks both independently and as part of a team, making a collaborative attitude and high energy level crucial to this position.

Responsibilities

• Pack orders in accordance with Parts Town quality standards, ensuring that all items are correct and orders arrive to customers undamaged
• Receive and count incoming parts, noting any inconsistencies between the physical count and packing lists or purchase order quantities
• Accurately record received part information into computer based inventory management system
• Identify part location and label item with correct put-away barcode
• Put away parts in correct warehouse location, ensuring accuracy
• Assemble customer orders, picking parts, confirming part numbers and quantities

Basic Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task without sacrificing accuracy
• Ability to thrive within a team atmosphere
• Strong attendance record and punctuality
• Basic mathematical skills
• Fundamental computer skills (system specific skills learned during training)
• Ability to continuously stand and walk on concrete surface
• Ability to intermittently lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
