About this job

Provide accurate data entry and trouble shooting assistance with a high level of customer service that serves the needs of all those involved with the flow of freight through the Distribution Center. 

Position Duties: 

  • Contact vendors and request ASN’S (Advance ship notices).
  • Trouble shoot and input ASN’S.
  • Create and send unloading reports to External Partners.
  • Maintain statistical records on required data, including Freight Bills.
  • Provide routing assistance to vendors as needed.
  • Research and solve all Not our Freight receipts which include contacting vendors for Return Authorizations.
  • Build receipt packages, which include validating window dates on count sheets.
  • Trouble shoot and record all purchase order discrepancies in the Vendor Compliance System.
  • Effectively maintain and follow up with the department tools such as voice mail, e-mail and faxes.
  • When appropriate, take on additional responsibilities. 

Position Requirements: 

  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate information and provide recommendations to problems.
  • Analytical and detail oriented.
  • Highly organized individual.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, STS and WMS preferred
  • High school diploma / GED 

Essential Functions: 

  • Communicate in writing and verbally (in person and via telephone) all matters related to analyzing and resolving problems related to the Transportation Department.
  • Participate in various problem-solving activities requiring skills such as reading and math.
  • Operate various office equipment and hand tools requiring manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination (perform various keyboard functions, etc.).

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM  / Flexible availability
