Trucking- Broker Representative - Full-time

JOB SUMMARY:  The Brokerage Representative will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of business through sales of the company’s transportation and logistics services to shippers and carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build long standing relationships with new and existing broker/carrier resources
• Post and manage loads on all industry load boards
• Accountable for tracking and tracing all deliveries and resolving service issues and failures.
• Respond to daily inquires made by customer/broker in relation to product movement, providing ETAs or  
• managing delivery appointments.
• Act as a liaison between drivers and brokers/backhauls providers.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITES:

• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with a strong customer service orientation.                                                                 
• Solid typing and computer skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                          
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-growing production environment.                                                                                      
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.                                                                                                                         
• Ability to facilitate presentations that showcase exceptional persuasive skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                             

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Previous Transportation Brokerage experience a plus.                                                                                                                                                                                                  
• Proven track record of success and ready to take on rapid new business development.                                                                                        
• At least 2 verifiable employment references.
