Seasonal Part Time Food Service/Catering Assistant Area Supervisor

We have an immediate opening for a Seasonal Part Time Food Service/Catering Assistant Area Supervisor.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Operating on 63 acres, it is America’s only downtown area theme and water park. Elitch Gardens is open May through October and offers 53 rides, live entertainment, shopping, dining and breathtaking views of Denver from every angle.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe, efficient and orderly operation of department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with the training and development for all food team members.
• Responsible for providing guests with excellent service and quality food in a fast, safe and friendly manner.
• Must be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
• Responsible for assisting with the scheduling of staff ensuring schedules are posted within the proper time frame set by full time manager.
• May have to counsel, track and discipline team members according to company policy.
• Ensure all paperwork is properly completed and turned in on time including, but not limited to: scheduling, payroll, sign in sheets and incident reports.
• Maintain proper attendance and promptness.
• Resolve any guest concerns that may arise.
• May be required to work in at any stand and any position.
• Must properly operate cash register in accordance with all cash handling procedures.
• Ensuring clean and sanitary work areas at all times including, but not limited to: sweeping, wiping tables, picking up and disposing of any trash.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Must have excellent cash handling and customer service skills.
• Must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• You will also work closely with many different types of machinery. Extreme caution needs to be used at all times.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to work overtime. – If over 18 years of age, and available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail.

• Must be able to walk or stand for up to six hours a shift
• Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
• Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
• Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
• Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
• Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.

* This is a part time position.  On average, hours will remain under 30 hours a week.  These hours are not guaranteed.
