TIG Welder

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is now hiring!

Our client, an industry leader in custom fabrication has an immediate opening for experienced TIG Welders.  Currently seeking expert TIG welders 2nd shift (2:00PM to 10:30pm M-F), 90 day Temp-To-Hire opportunity and compensation is starting at $17/hr. Requirements:

• Must be a proficient, top-notch TIG welder of aluminum and stainless, 1/8" to 5/8" thick
• Must be proficient at TIG welding, able to perform job duties and responsibilities from day one
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Candidates must pass criminal background check, drug test and physical
• Must have a valid DL and reliable transportation

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
 

• Evaluates and interprets drawings, sketches and other data to be used in the required task sequences and product to be manufactured.
• Use hand-welding or flame cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Selects proper welding heat and selects the proper type and size of weld for the correct penetration and strength of welded material.
• Participates as a skilled welder in the manufacture of special machinery, site furnishings and other general works items.
• Welds flat, vertical and horizontal surfaces to standards.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedge or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Ability to proficiently weld mild steel, alloy steel, aluminum and stainless steel, various gauges/thicknesses.
• Ability to operate angle grinder, manual vertical band saw, pedestal grinder, and various clamps and fixtures.
• Maintains and ensures welding equipment is in good working order.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Training in a certified welding program and/or four years’ experience in a production or job shop environment.
