Labor Ready is seeking qualified candidates for Machinist ( Manual) in the Decatur,IL area.   This is an outstanding opportunity to work as a temp to hire for a reputable manufacturing company.

Job Duties:
The Machinist will , from drawings , determine and organize the sequence of operational procedures: select correct tooling, work holding methods, spindle speeds, tooling feed rates and machine attachments to make complete parts. 
Mounts and secures tooling and tool holders or chucks, positions and secured work place on bed face plate between centers of machine using care to align, block , support and clamp properly to avoid conditions affecting dimension.
Sets up, adjusts and operates all machine shop equipment needed in the production of machine parts.
Uses precision measuring tools and procedures to maintain accuracy and quality of parts prior to releasing to assembly area

Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates MUST have the following:
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Excellent math skills, and experience with machine set ups
- Excellent attendance required, dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, respects authority
-Physically able to stand, walk, bend and lift 50 lbs repeatedly during a shift, with a can do attitude in a fast paced environment, able to multi task
-  Must follow safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment
- Values a team work environment, professional and self motivate, has clear communication skills
-  Submit to a Criminal Background Check
- Submit to a Drug Screen

 Pay rate :negotiable based on experience
Shifts:  Monday -   Friday,1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
