Banquet Server - Full-time / Part-time

We have an immediate opening for a Banquet Server.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Banquet Server

As a Banquet Server, your responsibilities include:

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Captain and Banquet Manager to include linen, service ware and glassware;
• Attend pre-shift meetings before functions to learn event particulars, including guest and hotel expectations;
• Greet and welcome guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner;
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function;
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages;
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Experience in similar position within an upscale environment is preferred;
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware;
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items;
• Excellent attention to detail -Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests
• Must possess a strong team spirit;

Physical Demands:

• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift;
