FRESH
Jersey Girl Cafe serves the freshest food around.

Our front of the house staff bake cookies fresh daily, prepare ingredients for our fresh salads, and keep the dining room and counter area sparkling clean.

Our Jersey Girls take the initiative to clean and organize the front of the house so we are ready when things get busy. They follow sanitation standards and use inventory sheets and checklists to make sure all our i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.

LOCAL
Jersey Girl Cafe is locally owned and managed. We are a small business that is busy and growing. We work with other small, local businesses to support the local economy and community.

The ideal candidate understands what it means to work with a small team and will:

  • Have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant employees and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested
  • Have the ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to other employees and customers
  • Have the ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
  • Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Be responsible by being on time, and understanding the impact of not pulling one's own weight as a team member
  • Be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
  • Have the ability to demonstrate a working understanding of the menu
  • Be able to follow instructions for recipes and sanitation guidelines
  • Have the ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the front of the house
