Stand-Up Forklift Operator Needed

Job Responsibilities

·         Move pallets and other products and materials around a warehouse

·         May carry product to supply production areas.

·         Loading and unloading pallets and other materials from trailers

·         Locating product in warehouse

·         Pulling orders from warehouse racks using a log and RF scanner gun

·         Performing an initial walk-around of your forklift to ensure that it is in good working order before operating it, and reporting any problems or irregularities to maintenance

·         Staging and palletizing product

·         Lifting product, either on pallets or unpalletized

·         Performing light Quality Control to ensure that products are going to the correct areas

·         Performing general cleanup and maintenance of your work area

Job Requirements

As a Forklift Operator, you must be dependable, responsible and able to work at a fast pace while always being able to occupy yourself with new tasks as needed. You must also be a team player with a solid work ethic who is always prompt, on time and committed to maintaining consistent work attendance.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

·         Experience operating a forklift for the same company for at least 6-12 consecutive months

·         Valid driver’s license

·         Ability to lift 30-50 pounds

·         Flexibility with regard to hours and scheduling

·         Experience with multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, cherry-picker, clamp and reach) preferred

·         Computer skills a plus
