We are currently hiring for 2nd shift General Production Workers in Pipestone, MN. This is an excellent opportunity with a leading area food production company.
General Production Worker:
• Properly package products. Place appropriate product within packaging machine, box, or onto pallet. Utilize order cards where applicable.
• Verify integrity of package to ensure elimination of leakers and product appearance is correct.
• Confirm that product is within all specifications of product being packaged (ie. weight, piece count, fat cover, labeling, film, seasoning/marinade, etc.).
• Basic machine operation and adjustment, dependent upon product (ie. adjust injection, adjust tracking, start/stop, speed, etc.) May also work with machines other than packaging machines.
• Arrange and maintain work area and equipment to assist in efficiency, safety and reduction of waste (ie. scales, floor mats, boxes, etc.)
• Assemble, weigh, tape, label, code date, scan, and palletize boxes where necessary.
• Always work in a safe manner for your own and other associate's safety.
• Always follow proper food handling, sanitation guidelines, SSOP, and HACCP.
• Attendance -- always be to work as scheduled. This position may require overtime during the work week and / or weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Job Requirements:
• This position requires the use of all parts of the body. This includes activities such as (but not limited to) walking, lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and turning. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, elbows, hands, and fingers are required. It requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 80 lbs. Lastly, this position requires the ability to stand for the entirety of the shift (minus break/rest periods).
• This position is subject to temperatures ranging from 30 degrees to 50 degrees constantly. It is also subject to noise levels higher than 85 decibels, so hearing protection is required to be worn. Other environmental factors include (but are not limited to) moving mechanical parts, machinery, forklifts, pallet jacks, and wet environment. There are chemicals used within the facility. Exposure to such chemicals would be minimal, if any. Exposure to food seasonings and additives is likely.
Wage: New starting wage - $10.00/hr
Shifts: 2nd shift (This position may require overtime during the work week and / or weekends.)
