Additives Machine Operator

We have a full-time opening for a Additives Machine Operator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: $11

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however, other duties may be assigned.
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets up the equipment, following all operational and safety procedures.
• Turns valves or moves controls to activate and maintain system at specified temperatures and machine rates.
• Observes machine operation and monitors mixing, pelletizing, drying, transporting and packaging processes and makes recommended specified operating adjustments.
• Adds specified amounts of materials into kettles, mixers and extruders.
• Empties asphalt and partitioning agent fines and recycling back into batches.
• Makes sure the right amount of partitioning agents are added to pellets.
• Ensures bag printing is legible and accurate.
• Makes sure product is packaged in the right bags and with the right weight per bag and the right number of bags per pallet.
• Draws samples of products for laboratory analysis and performs on line in process soft point tests on products to insure conformance with specifications.
• Meets productivity needs.
• Records bag weights of packaged product.
• Accurately completes batch sheets, lot sheets and shift process sheets in a timely and legible manner.
• Keeps work areas neat and orderly.
• Operates forklift.
• Performs minor machine maintenance including changing and cleaning various parts.
• Ensures all safety requirements are met.
• Assists packager in bagging all material being produced and stretch wrapping completed pallets.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 3rd shift
- 2-3 years experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment or demonstrated practical knowledge
