We have a full-time opening for a Additives Quality Tech.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: 11-13/hr based on experience

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
• Obtains samples of finished product and/or raw materials for assigned testing.
• Sets up, adjusts and operates all pertinent laboratory equipment and instruments such as balances or digital scales, ovens and furnaces.
• Tests material physical properties such as percent ash, percent moisture, viscosity, pen, density and other characteristics to verify conformity to specifications.
• Records test results on standard forms.
• Performs incoming testing and/or confirmation testing on incoming raw materials. This includes SP and elevated pen. Tabulates the data on the server and notifies Supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Selects random samples and performs confirmation testing. Tabulates the data on the server along with plant data and notifies Supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Checks bag temperature throughout the day and compares it to operator data. Reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Prepares a daily report for Supervisor.
• Collects samples as required for R&D.
• Inputs and analyzes data into Excel spreadsheets for finished products.
• Cleans and calibrates laboratory and plant testing equipment.
• Responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly.
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time at the discretion of the Additives Superintendent.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum associate degree required with a focus in science, bachelor degree preferred
