Sunland Asphalt has been paving the Southwest for over 33 years with offices in Tempe and Tucson Arizona, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are a full-service commercial asphalt paving, maintenance and specialties contractor. We are currently seekinga Field Sales Support Representative for our Tempe location.
The Field Sales Support Representative acts as an administrator, as well as, works in the field for the Sales department. This is a great entry level position for individuals looking to begin a career in sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Will scope jobs, conduct job site walkthroughs and job site completion visits and participate in pre bid meetings and bid reviews.
Responsible for extensive customer contact and coordination of jobs.
Coordinate with subcontractors and production staff.
Generate and administer a production file and complete job related forms.
Any and all duties as assigned.
Safety:
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the companys drug and alcohol policy, as well as, all OHSA regulations
Must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines at all times as an essential part of their job responsibilities
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Operate vehicles in a safe manner, in compliance with local, state and federal traffic laws
Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment in a variety of different situations
Work long hours at a job site or on a computer
Must be able to lift up 50 pounds
While working the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Flexible schedule with ability to travel out of town
Comfortable with technology including: email, texting, and using internet from remote locations
Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English
Excellent math skills.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
A current drivers license. A CDL license may be required for some departments/divisions
Must have an acceptable motor-vehicle record
Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required
