Positions Include: Floral Designer, Journeyman Meat Cutters, Sushi Chefs, Cake Decorators Coffee Bar Team Member, Cheese Specialist, Deli Counter, Bakery Counter, Meat and Seafood Counter, Salad Bar and Produce Team Members We are seeking both PART-TIME & FULL-TIME candidates for our specialty positions: Floral Designer Job Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates and provides support in floral sales, customer service, floral product care and floral design, while achieving budgeted sales and profit objectives.
    • Designing, coordinating floral ordering, merchandising, customer service, department maintenance, inventory control and product care.
    • As always, provides excellent customer service!
    Journeyman Meat Cutters Basic responsibilities of this position include cutting meats, poultry and fish and providing outstanding customer service. *Previous experience cutting meats professionally is required. Sushi Chef No experience in Sushi is necessary, only experience working with knives and food. Our Sushi Chefs have developed a menu using only the freshest seasonal ingredients available. We offer simple makis such as the California roll and elaborate makis such as the Godzilla roll that includes a savory combination of tempura shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, scallions, tobiko and chili oil. Must possess experience in the coordination of food preparation in large quantities, supervise food production personnel, assist with food production tasks as needed, and ensure that quality and cost standards are consistently attained. Each employee cleans and sanitizes work areas in accordance with company standards and health department regulations. Our Sushi Chefs have developed a menu using only the freshest seasonal ingredients available. Cake Decorators PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To provide quality, decorative designs for customer special orders and a variety of bakery products. Responsibilities:
    • Orders proper quantity of cakes to be sold
    • Follows and completes daily and weekly quantities of cakes to be decorated and
    • sold as determined by the Bakery Manager or person in charge
    • Retrieves cakes from freezer for decorating and icing
    • Ices cakes
    • Ensures proper consistency for both butter cream and better cream icing
    • Prepares cakes to be decorated
    • Decorates cakes
    • Follows approved decorating styles and creates new decoration as appropriate
    • Follows and completes production assignments
    • Ensures consistent quality and accuracy in decorating
    • Decorates for special orders
    • Ensures a variety of product is prepared for maximum sales potential
    • Places cakes in proper containers and locations for sale or storage
    • Labels cakes and stocks product properly
    • Stores overstock in freezer and removes stales daily
    • Maintains a clean and organized decorating area and ensures adequate decorating supplies are maintained

    Coffee Bar Team Member PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Assists with the operations of the coffee bar to ensure an unprecedented shopping experience for the customer and focusing on quality as well as freshness. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Welcomes, serves, and assists customers to provide excellent customer service in the coffee bar.
    • Helping to open and close the department according to standard operating procedures.
    • Ensures the proper types and amounts of materials, supplies and merchandise are stocked.
    • Performs stocking duties, ensuring correct placement of stock and refilling of coffee bar displays.
    • Grinds coffee beans, operates espresso machines, and prepares coffee.
    • Understands standard operating procedures and the training manual, and can translate that to others
    • Understands the importance of customer service and interpersonal communication.
    Cheese Specialist A knowledge of and passion for cheeses is required from previous retail or restaurant industry experience. At our store, we'll offer customers the chance to explore the flavors and textures of cheese from around the world. The Cheese Specialist will engage and educate customers about our domestic and international cheeses, so job candidates must be versed in area of origin, methods of production per region, cutting, taste, and texture. A knowledge of and passion for cheeses is required from previous retail or restaurant industry experience. Strong merchandising skills are preferred to create an exciting and inviting selling environment that includes food and beverage pairings. Deli Counter Our deli will produce the finest delicacies using choice ingredients and best practices. Our deli showcases the area's finest meats, cheese from around the world, and gourmet prepared meals. As a bakery/deli team member, you will present to customers a fully-stocked, fresh and appealing bakery and deli. In bakery, you will package and properly price products made by the bakers and place them on display for customer purchase. In deli, you will prepare food, offer sampling to customers and recommend products. You will also properly weigh, bag, price and cook deli merchandise for sale. All team members must be proficient at operating scales, slicers, wrapping and cooking/baking equipment as well as comply with company standards and health department regulations for a clean and safe work environment. Bakery/deli team members serve our customers in an efficient and friendly way and practice safe food handling procedures. Critical to the job is maintaining a clean and sanitized work area including the maintenance of tables, walls, floors, display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, fryers and other cooking equipment. You will also assist with inventories, ordering/transmitting product and/or supply orders. Bakery Counter Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise. As a Deli/Bakery member, the Deli/Bakery Clerk promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on knowledge of Deli/Bakery products. The Deli/Bakery clerk adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Deli/Bakery Clerk is focused on driving sales through suggestive selling, sampling and promoting sales events. Meat and Seafood Counter Our meat department features only the best grades and highest quality meat products that are sure to please all kinds of meat lovers and our massive seafood counter provides a wealth of meal suggestions with catches from around the world. Meat/Seafood team members must be able to identify all meat cuts, fin fish and shell fish and help customers with product information such as preparation, pairings, and nutritional value. Team members will be operating wrappers and scales and processing fresh and frozen products. All employees display product in a fresh and appealing manner throughout the department and are responsible for meeting the daily production needs. Each employee packages, prepares trays, weighs and labels packages, rotates product and removes out-of-code date products. Employees also sanitize work areas in accordance with company standards and health department regulations. Salad Bar Team Members As a Salad Bar Clerk, you will perform all functions relating to the maintenance and proper food preparation of the salad bar. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient service to customers and team members. Additionally, you will be responsible for washing and cutting fruit/vegetables for fruit/vegetable trays and salads; packaging fruits/vegetables/salads; applying price labels to packages/trays; maintaining a clean, sanitized and safe working environment; cleaning all cutting utensils; promoting and merchandising Salad Bar Department; replenishing service and self-serve coutners while consistently offering high quality, safe food to the customer and assisting them with buying decisions through efficient service and suggestive selling. Produce Team Members Our produce department offers the freshest and tastiest fruit and vegetables from local, domestic and foreign growing regions. As a produce team member, you will be knowledgeable about everyday produce, seasonal offerings and exotic species and able to enthusiastically suggest items to customers accordingly. Each employee receives produce deliveries, builds and maintains creative and fresh displays and rotates stock as needed. They inspect displays for damaged or out-of-date items and remove such products from sale. They prepare product for placement on sales floor by trimming, washing, banding and/or wrapping. Each employee maintains a clean department including, floors, tables, scales, mirrors, and both wet and dry racks.
