ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The basic function of the Furniture Repair Technician is to efficiently and effectively execute and follow through on service and repair of furniture and/or related product. The ideal candidate must have the ability to properly diagnose and determine parts required for fitness equipment repair and the ability to repair leather, upholstery and case goods. The candidate must be able to work independently and provide leadership skills to accomplish daily goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position: Inspect, repair and proper maintenance of furniture and other inventory as needed. The ability to travel to customer's homes and h.h.gregg retail store locations to assess and complete furniture repairs. Maintain quality of work and technical skills. Complete documentation on all merchandise repaired. Complete required documentation for movement of product. Responsible for cleanliness and organization of personal work-space and assists in maintaining clean and safe working environment at all times. Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: High school education (or equivalent) 1-3 years furniture repair experience Valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record Customer service experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job Classification: Heavy
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium work.
