Reports to: Executive Chef, Sous Chef
Part-Time - Seasonal
Qualifications: High school diploma
- Ability to work week ends, holidays and evenings as needed
- Ability and desire to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking
- Position requires bending, reaching, twisting and lifting (weights up to 50 lbs.)
Position Summary: The position acts as liaison between the kitchen and the banquet staff
for the purpose of coordinating food service, setting up and breaking down food for banquets, and assisting banquet culinary staff with limited food preparation.
Job Duties:
- Serves as a positive role model by:
- Adhering to the same standards of service and behavior that peers are required
to uphold
- Maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Working with peers to meet member’s needs.
- Participates in the operations of the kitchen by:
- Assist banquet staff as needed in food preparation.
- Set up and break down food stations for banquets and parties.
- Check food stations and notify banquet staff if in need of replenishing. food.
- Covering, dating and rotating food items.
- Assisting the Executive Chef or Sous Chef with other duties as needed in the
- Continually upgrades services by:
- Maintaining sanitation standards as deemed needed by the state of Michigan, USDA and Wayne County Health Department.
- Maintaining areas in a clean and safe manner.
