The Lodge at New Tampa, a luxury pet resort located on Morris Bridge Road in New Tampa has an immediate opening for a kennel assistant. We are a very special kennel. Job entails animal care: cleaning, feeding, exercising and day care supervision. Duties can be strenuous so we need a hard working individual who really likes working with dogs. Must be agile and quick on your feet. If you enjoy pets rather than working with people, this is the job for you. This is a great job for a person interested in going into veterinary medicine as a career or as a veterinary assistant or technician. You will get lots of practical experience working with dogs. Must be available one day on the weekend as well as various days during the week plus major holidays. Three shifts: 7am-2pm, or 2pm till 7pm or 4-8:30 pm. Generous starting salary depending on experience. The more you bring to The Lodge, the higher your salary. Part time will equal 20-28 hours. Fulltime equals 28-40 hours. Priority given to applicants with experience in a kennel situation or a veterinary hospital. Job entails inside and outside work.
