Warehouse Position - Full-time

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is hiring for a 1st Shift General Labor Position.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation requirements while preparing carcasses to enter the Boning Room.  In addition, this candidate will establish and sustain effective relationships with all Members so that they may work together to promote innovation and cooperation in order to solve problems.

Inside conditions include exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate odor, and presence of animal blood.  Temperatures will vary, as entering refrigerated areas will be expected.  Proper attire will be provided.

Members rotate every 2 1/2 hours. They must be able to work in a humid environment and wet surfaces. Temperatures will vary depending on time of the year (Winter /Summer). Must be able to tolerate animal odors, physical demands for this position require walking or standing most of the time. Member must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds approx. Equipment used will vary depending upon duties performed.

Pancreas Removal

Summary

•             Remove the pancreas from the intestines and place it in a bucket.

•             Remove ovaries from the reproductive track system when needed and place them into the designated container.

•             Place the rest of the intestines into the inedible cart.

•             Move the inedible cart to the inedible area scale and bring an empty cart back to be filled again.

•             When pancreas bucket is full, let the member in charge of trimming the livers know that the bucket is full and take the remaining pancreas to the pharmaceutical area. Weight the bucket full of pancreas, record the weight on the sheet and then place the pancreas on trays.

•             Place trays full of pancreas in designated rack inside the freezer.

•             Sanitize equipment between carcasses.

•             Keep equipment and work area clean and in good working conditions throughout the shift.

•             Comply with GMP and safety rules at all times.

Liver/Heart Removal

Summary

•             Remove bio sack from the liver and place it into the sink.

•             Detach heart from lungs without cutting arteries. Leave the arteries as long as possible when saving heart valves and trim the heart right down to the meat when valves aren't saved.

•             Place the heart into the sink for rinsing.

•             Cut the thyroid from the throat and place in designated bucket.

•             Trim salivary glands off the head and place the head in the table to be de-boned.

•             Rinse the liver and heart and place them into the proper totes. When totes are full, place livers and hearts into the rib pack area and take empty cart back to the Harvest floor.  Wash the tote and place it into the cart to be refilled.

•             Keep equipment and work area clean and in good working conditions throughout the shift.

•             Comply with GMP and Safety rules at all times.

 

Hash Gut Area

Summary

The responsibilities for this position are, but not limited to, the removal of the stomach and grinding of small intestines.

Stomach Linings

Summary

The responsibilities for this position are, but not limited to, the removal of stomach linings for pharmaceutical purposes.
