Marine Carpenters and Shipwrights Job Description

• Planning work from blueprints/drawings

• Selecting materials, measure and cut to required lengths

• Using hand tools or portable tools using measuring instruments

Job Requirements

• At least two years of verifiable and recent work experience in the support of marine carpentry work on board a ship or submarine

• Ability to erect containments and apply shrink wrap for weather install RAL tile (rubber, air, lead) graphite tile, SHT (special hull treatment) and graphite tile with fiberglass reinforced materials, shipyard standard

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Must pass a drug screen

• Reliable transportation required

• Must be able to work 1 st /2 nd shift

• Must be able to work OT and Saturdays as needed
