A growing manufacturing company in Rancho Santa Margarita is seeking a Marketing/Sales Coordinator. This is an entry level position, leading to the company’s Management Trainee Program. This individual provides support to the marketing and sales team, assisting with marketing/sales projects, researching sales leads and maintaining sales accounts. The Sales/Marketing Coordinator will be trained in all aspects of the operations and works under the direction of the EVP and sales representatives. The position requires a demonstrated willingness and flexibility to perform in all areas of the business.

Essential Responsibilities

Duties Related to Marketing:

  • Satisfies the requirements of the Management Trainee Program, utilizing a predefined training plan.
  • Handles a variety of projects in support of the Sales and Marketing functions; i.e. update catalogue, produce pictures of new products, create template for banners and marketing materials, etc.
  • Creates marketing communication presentations and materials.
  • Maintains department electronic files/archives.
  • Update CRM with contact information to be utilized in prospecting potential clients.
  • Documents marketing campaign contents, responses, performances, etc.
  • May be assigned tasks to include conducting market research.


Duties Related to Sales:

  • Learns the company’s product lines.
  • Acts as contact in for Sales Representatives for the coordination of activities with customers and internally.
  • Sets up appointments for Sales personnel.
  • Assists with prospecting.
  • Learns and utilizes all levels of the Sales Cycle
  • Identifies potential customer and business opportunities and works with business development manager to create solutions for customers.
  • Provide support to the Account Manager as needed.
  • Interacts with customers to build strong customer relationships.
  • Maintains the delivery schedule of placed orders.
  • Demonstrates competent presentation and negotiation skills in an effort to achieve goal of on-time delivery to the customers.


Essential Requirements

  • Computer skills at an intermediate level in the use of MS Office software, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, use of databases and software used to create marketing documents.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build strong partnerships and customer relationships.
  • Able to work under pressure in meeting deadlines and has attention to intricate details.
  • The regular office hours are M-F 8A-5P, but you must be flexible to work a variety of hours.
  • At least one year working in sales support or customer service.
  • A 4-Year College Degree is preferred.
