Summary of Role: The Associate Master Control Operator is an entry-level position with both operational and administrative duties that include interfacing with clients, assisting with scheduling and compiling meeting notes. Also responsible for performing on-air operations to include recording, downloading, uploading and editing of all on-air programming and commercial material in a live sports environment.

Essential Job Functions:

- Ensure continuity of on-air schedules in a dynamic environment.

- Operate control room equipment associated with a typical live sports master control room.

- Monitor and maintain the quality, continuity and availability of multiple networks and distribution channels in a live and nonlive environment.

Responsibilities:

- Interface with Clients to ensure production and live broadcast needs are met

- Assist with all personnel scheduling

- Maintain weekly premiere edit grids for multiple networks

- Prepare Weekly Live Event Grids

- Compiles meeting notes and distributes meeting notes to participants

- Prepare and maintain spots, programs and associated databases for air

- Capture and encoding of content related to on-air schedules

- Assists media operations group in the recording and storage of content feeds

- Manages deployment and retrieval of playlists and

as-run files, and monitors commercial insertion system.

- Integrates live and previously recorded program content with commercials and promotional spots.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)

- Ability to work under pressure.

- Proficient with computers and MS office software, Excel and Power Point

- Ability to work any scheduled time, including nights, weekends and holidays to support the 24x7 on-air broadcasts.

- Xytech Facility Management Software experience preferred (MediaPulse)

Formal Education & Certification

- College diploma or university degree in an associated field or equivalent work experience.

- Experience in broadcast television, cable programmer or network desirable.

- Experience in a live sports broadcast environment desirable.

- SBE certification desirable

Travel Requirements:

- Travel depending on project needs

- No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.

- On-call availability 24 hours per day, 365 per year.
