About this job

Working under the supervision of the Store Manager & Food Service Manager, the Food Service employee will be responsible for: Operating the cash register to itemize and total customer’s purchases in a QSR as well as operating all of the equipment to prepare food.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing Excellent Customer Service
    • Acknowledge customers who enter the building within 3 seconds
    • Be friendly, polite & enthusiastic
    • Prepare product correct in formula and beautiful in appearance
    • Complete transaction from order to payment within 1m30sec.
    • Suggestive sell add-on items to every customer
    • Always close sale with “I appreciate your business
  • Responsible for safe guarding cash
    • Perform a “Shift change” when starting and again when ending your shift
    • Collect Cash or charge payment for customer and make change for cash sales
    • Responsible for end of shift reports and cash overages & shortages within +/-$3
  • Cash Register / POS Usage
    • Ringing in sales, credits, coupons, meal deals
    • Count back change
    • Change receipt tapes & ribbons when needed
  • Equipment usage
    • Using a Bread/Pizza oven or Fryer
    • Placement of bread into a speed oven
    • Operate probe thermometer to take food temperatures twice daily
    • Operate tomato slicer, nemco slicer, can opener, 3 bay sink, fountain syrup
  • Take call in orders
  • Responsible for Store Appearance
    • Routine general cleaning, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning bathroom toilets,
    • sinks, urinals, table, chairs, booths, counters, floors.
    • Responsible for restocking cups, lids, straws, condiments after rush periods
    • Follow time line responsibilities every shift
  • Adhere to local food safety compliance regulations
    • Complete temperature logs once per shift
    • Label all cambro pans with prepped veggies following operational guidelines
  • Restock all vegetables & meats after rush periods
  • Work in a walk in cooler or freezer storing delivered products neatly
  • Lift an ice bucket with up to 15 lbs. of ice into fountain machine
  • Agree to and support the Road Ranger mission statement & philosophy
  • Adhere to all policies regarding uniform and appearance standards
  • Complete cooperation regarding Management direction & assignment of tasks

Education and/or Experience:

  • Some high school
  • Any fast food related experience a plus

Other Qualifications:

  • Language Skills – Good Communication skills, people oriented focus
  • Must be able to speak English well
  • Mathematical skills – basic math skills, must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide.
