Diesel Mechanic Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.

Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Routine and preventative maintenance.
• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to.
• Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
• Read precision instruments.
• Micrometers, dial indicators, bored gauges, etc.
• When applicable use welding skills.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:

• Required:
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 2+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair, or mechanical/trade school certificate.
  • Must furnish own tools.
  • Valid Driver's license

Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
