Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer’s Care
*No previous experience necessary - skills training provided by Home Instead Senior Care*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
  • Ability to communicate with and take direction from the office to satisfy the client's expectations.
  • Ability to speak and hear English clearly in both face to face and telephone conversations.
  • Able to read and write English to easily communicate in writing.
  • Ability to arrive on time at the appropriate location.
  • Ability to maintain the strict confidentiality of events and information associated with the client.
  • Ability to call 911 for an emergency and then remain and reassure the client.
  • Ability to adapt to various client living environments and locations.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry.
  • Ability to climb stairs unassisted and able to carry and balance up to 25 pounds with you.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle independently.
  • Ability to withstand periodic contact with dust, mold, mildew and cleaning products.
  • Ability to remain awake at all times during all shifts, including overnight shifts.
  • Ability to report any incidents regarding your client’s well-being or safety to the office.
  • Ability to hear your clients calling you from another room or calling you for assistance.
  • Ability to perform overall household cleaning including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom sprucing, changing the bed and laundry.
