Position Summary:
The Pastry Cook ensures the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times from our “scratch” kitchen. The Pastry Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned station – sets up and stocks product, cooks and presents dishes according to RockSugar’s recipes, and cleans, sanitizes and maintains equipment, utensils and tools.

Requirements and Working Conditions:

• One year experience in a related position in a high-volume, diverse, scratch-cooking, full-service or fine dining restaurant.
• Basic English reading and communication skills.
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in multi-tasking in dynamic situations.
• Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work in elevated temperatures.
• Continuous use of hands and arms.
• Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
