Our Lanham branch is searching for organized and professional Accounts Payable Clerk. This accounts payable clerk will offer great experience in invoice preparation, submits payments, gathers PO, and reconciliation with vendors.

Responsibilities:
- Scan, process, index and route invoices for approval
- Ensures timely and accurate payment of all approved invoices, taking advantage of prompt-pay discounts
- Enter purchase orders, and compare vendor/subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts
- Generate checks as requested
- Assist with invoice preparation, distribution, bank reconciliations, etc.
- Organize and maintain files.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
- Calculate and post subcontractors requests for payment
- Perform basic cost analysis as needed
- Process and track release of liens for all subcontractor payments.
- Track and transmit certified payrolls for subcontractors as required
- Track and update all contracts and change orders for subcontractors.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/annual/job-to-date reports as requested.
- Process Credit Card payments to Vendors
- Reconciliation daily/weekly/monthly payment reports
- Administrative duties as required; answer incoming phone calls, customer service requests, scheduling requests, etc.

Working hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm M-F

Qualifications:
College degree (AA, AS, BA, BS) in related field (Business Management, Accounting) and accounting/finance experience
Prior experience accounting software QuickBooks
Ability to type 40 words per minute (WPM) accurately
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Possess effective interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve conflict professionally.
Follows direction, and works effectively with team members and supervisors.
Communicate effectively orally & in writing with others.
Able to secure and maintain confidential information.
Strong attention to detail, and able to recognize actual and potential errors, as well as omissions.
Strong sense of urgency and initiative, with ability to meet deadlines.
Deals with internal and external customers ethically, and meet customers' expectations.
