Seasonal Sales & Merchandising Associate

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Able to pass drug and background check.
• Valid Driver's License - Satisfactory Driving Record.
• Able to be a team leader
• Nursery/Agricultural/agronomic background preferred
• Prior agriculture retail experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outgoing personality and positive attitude
• Dependable, flexible, self-motivated and works well with team
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule

Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 50 pounds. Vision, hearing and speech essential. Hand coordination to use computer. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Runs register and closes register at end of day
• Maintains inventory stock and places orders when inventory stock is low
• Replenishes merchandise and stocks shelves as needed
• Identify slow selling items and provide stocking change recommendations
• Oversee inventory control
• Assist with sales calls to customers
• Practices safety at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned
