evaluate business requirements, identify operating procedures, evaluate existing
or proposed systems and prepare detailed specifications from which programs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluates
  business requirements and prepares detailed specifications that follow
  project guidelines required to develop written programs 
• Formulates,
  defines and documents the functional system specifications 
• Devises
  or modifies procedures that solve complex business problems with due
  consideration for hardware/software capacity and limitations, operating
  times and the desired results 
• Analyzes
  and revises existing functional documentation 
• Generates
  innovative ideas to resolve problems 
• Responsible
  for meeting or exceeding all defined target goals and milestone dates for
  the project in order to ensure its overall success 
• Assists
  in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned
  work
• Analyze,
  design and present the project in an overall end-to-end business and
  systems context. 
• Drive
  translation of a business vision / goal into a technical
  solution(s). 
• In
  concert with project manager(s), coordinate and promote cross application
  planning, management and communication. 
• Collaborate
  with business and technical resources to define objectives, scope and
  requirements. 
• Conduct
  systems architecture and business information flow studies. 
• Enforce
  and help define, when appropriate standards, guidelines, best practices and
  metrics in support enterprise wide initiatives. 
• Provide
  integrated systems planning, coordination and communications in support
  business and -IT sponsored initiatives. 
• Ensure
  consistency of tools, standards and metrics across project teams. 
• Analyze
  and document business processes, systems processes and data flow and
  impacts. 
• Knowledge
  of systems architecture and infrastructure. 
• Participate
  in strategic project analysis, design and testing tasks. 
• Interface
  with business users and their representatives on IT projects. 
• Serve
  as project consultant, applying your knowledge of business operations,
  analysis, design and applications to system analysis and design. 
• Generate
  innovative ideas to resolve problems and obtain common understanding,
  direction and support for problem or opportunity approaches.
