As an IT Project Manager within the Enterprise Program Management Office, you will be accountable for driving successful delivery of the Private Exchange product for UnitedHealth Group. The individual in this role will not only play a key role in the initial product implementation, but they will continue to contribute to the multi-year Exchange product roadmap. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Leading cross application program deliverables to successful completion
- Owning, end-to-end accountability for delivery of program components
- Driving a scaled-Agile methodology for project delivery
- Actively managing and mitigating issues, risks, assumptions and dependencies
- Creating project plans, communicating those plans and managing to those plans
- Partnering with Business and IT leaders to ensure proper strategy, plan, alignment, integration and visibility
- Driving consensus and decision-making with business and IT stakeholders
- Leading matrixed teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-scale software products
- Providing status reporting to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Ensuring deployment readiness for product releases
Requirements
Candidates will possess:
- 5 + years of project management experience
- 5 + years leading IT projects, including project budgets of $1M +
- Successful track record of delivering software development projects on scope, on time, on budget, on quality and on benefit
- Knowledge of how projects fit into a program portfolio
- Excellent collaboration, team building and relationship management skills
- Well-honed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technology matters to business partners
- Success obtaining results in a large corporate, matrixed environment
- Self-directed and curious
- Experience within the healthcare industry preferred
- Experience with Exchange solutions such as online shopping, plan selection, cost estimators and/or benefit administration tools desired
- Prior experiences using Agile or scaled-Agile methodologies/processes a plus
- PMP certification of value
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences
