Welders Job Description

• Welding metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes

• Performing related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding

• Repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, and increasing the size of metal parts

• Routine exposure to wet or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts

• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration

• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Job Requirements

• Must have five years experience as a Welder/Fabricator

• Must be able to pass weld test

• WABO and/or ABS Certifications a plus

• Must be proficient in STICK/SMAW, TIG/GTAW, FCAW/FLUX and MIG/GMAW Weld Processes
