About this job
We are currently seeking an Associate Director of Contracts. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position will be located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The Associate Director of Contracts will provide the full scope of contract management and administration by preparing, evaluating, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, closing and interpreting commercial contracts. Manage company's contractual relationships with clients and serve as liaison with internal business units.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Business & Relationship Development
Manage and guide the contract process between legal and internal business units (Finance, Production, IT, Marketing, Client Solutions), Sales and external clients
Provide advice and strategic guidance on contractual issues to internal business units and Sales
Projects & Processes

Draft, review, edit, analyze and negotiate legal and business terms and conditions of current program(s) and new initiative(s) contracts, including client, vendor, consultant agreements, NDAs, etc.
Manage Fair Solicitation Process alongside SVP of Strategic Monetization
Manage deal sheet/contract tracking reports and meet with CFO weekly
Ensure final contracts are consistent with negotiated agreements
Prepare contractual correspondences to clients
Assist Senior Director of Contracts with new initiatives

Draft, review and negotiate software license agreements on behalf of the Pitney Bowes Software Business Unit to ensure compliance with business, audit, legal and SOX requirements
Assist Compliance Enablement Team with contract interpretation and structure of company position.
As applicable, review government contracts for compliance issues dealing with license rights and restrictions

Qualification
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree minimum requirement
Must have at least 10 years' experience working in contracts
Must have experience drafting legal/contractual documents
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Paralegal Degree a plus
Software licensing & related maintenance a plus
CRITICAL SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to independently negotiate legal and business contract terms and conditions
Ability to work under minimal supervision, with strong ability to assess when to escalate issues
Self-motivated, proactive, team-oriented and flexible
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
Capability to work closely with Sales VPs, National Sales Directors, internal business units
Ability to fully understand, interpret and evaluate contractual language, and its impact to the company
Experience in drafting and negotiating sales, marketing and software contracts
Manage and close a substantial volume of revenue contracts with short turnaround time
Ability to effectively adapt, shift priorities and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent business writing, spelling, grammar, and proof-reading abilities
Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office and other software
High attention to detail and organization
Leadership skills
Superior time management skills
