Refigeration/Diesel Mechanic Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.

Refigeration/Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Seeking experienced refrigeration technician.
• Must have detailed knowledge and skills in repairing and rebuilding of refrigeration units in the field.
• Field servicemen must be prepared to go out in the field when needed regardless of time, day, or week, and weather conditions that might prevail.
• Must be highly skilled in utilizing field service equipment and tools, to troubleshoot or begin repairs.
• Must be able to contact customers in a diplomatic manner, submit complete written field service reports of jobs, and capable of maintaining performance standards as established by Carrier Standard Repair Operation Manual (which will be provided).
• The job requires that the serviceman be capable of peforming without supervision.

Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:

• Required:
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 2+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Able to diagnose and perform most all reefer repairs.
  • Able to perform 24 hours on call with little to no assistance.
  • Must furnish own tools, refigeration gauge set.
  • Valid drive license
• Preferred:
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate
  • Carrier and or Thermo King background preferred.
  • Welding experience.

Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
