JOB SUMMARY

The Account Support Analyst will provide support for the Marriott Sales organization, with particular focus on the management and tracking of Marriott's corporate customers. The Manager will participate in and lead cross-functional teams working to improve Sales processes and system performance. The Manager will support the Marriott Sales organization by providing information expertise, data analysis and data management services, reporting, training, and project management experience.





CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or quantitative discipline; 2-4 years' experience in sales analysis, marketing analysis, revenue management, financial analysis or a related discipline

Technical Expertise
Excellent PC skills including proficiency using spreadsheets and database applications required
Data analysis or business analysis experience required
Query experience using SQL
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with Marriott systems (MRDW, SFAWeb, PMS, MARSHA) or experience with other CRM or Sales systems is a plus
Experience with programming languages (SAS, VB, VBA) is a plus
Proficiency with data mining, query, or BI tools (Cognos, MicroStrategy or SAS) is a plus
Project management experience or business process re-engineering experience is a plus

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Manages Marriott's Account Tracking system and works to ensure the system is accurately tracking revenue information
Creates reports and scorecards to help manage system performance and drive results
Performs more complex data analysis to support new projects and initiatives
Analyzes data to find gaps in systems and identifies areas to implement quality assurance measures.
Responds to, solves and makes decisions on more complex/non-routine business requests with limited to moderate supervision
Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
o identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of business processes
o providing training and technical guidance about processes and systems
o serving as point-of-contact for problem resolution for account tracking issues
o participating in setting department operating plans
o recognizing and celebrating team successes
Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities
Builds, enhances, and maintains reports to support business needs
Participates in the creation of reports and dashboards to help analyze and monitor the current state of Marriott account tracking systems
Administers, validates, and enhances Sales and Marketing business rules and metadata that support operational and reporting systems
Responds to and tracks problems reported by Marriott Sales associates and determines appropriate resolutions to those problems.
Acts as business lead and project manager for both small software upgrades and major Marriott Sales & Marketing initiatives.
Conducts forums with key business & technical stakeholders to provide updates on projects related to the tracking of Marriott accounts.
Participates in managing third party Marriott data suppliers to ensure high quality deliverables.
