The production supervisor manages the daily operations of all production personnel engaged in the cleaning, pressing, and repairs of linens, including general laundry workers, loader-pullers, press operators, and washmen. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Directs daily laundry services operations to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, training and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadline; assigning and prioritizing actives and monitoring operating standards •Supervises the handling of linens and garments, including washing conditioning, pressing, folding, and repair •Maintains balanced workflow and smooth movement of linens through the various processing section •Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees •Trains employees on the use of new equipment or procedures •Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status of resolution of problems or issue, using appropriate Clarus resources when necessary •Assist Operations Manager in development of new business service(s) for the client and implements the service programs(s) •Checks equipment for proper operation •Establishes a safety work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Clarus safety and loss prevention program(s) •Ensures compliance with all federal, state and location regulation as well as Clarus policies and procedure are meet (e.g. quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel) •Performs or arranges maintenance as necessary reporting repairs to the chief engineer or operations manager •Maintains statistics and generates reports on production activity that includes the types and amounts of items processed in various phases of washing, pressing, and mending •Evaluates employee violations of company policy and recommending disciplinary action •Supervise the general cleaning of the production area •Performs other related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. High School Diploma required. •At least 1 year supervisory experience in manufacturing environment. •Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. •Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 200 to 300 pounds. •Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds. •Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. •Demonstrated customer service, people, leadership, and organization skills with track record of achieving positive business results. •Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
