Accounting Clerk

The Newark division of a manufacturing company is seeking a detail oriented accounting clerk to assist with financial, administrative and clerical duties. This is a contract to hire opportunity to be part of a growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage customer accounts, checking for non-payments, delayed payments, discrepancies, credits, etc.
- Preparing invoices, cutting checks, processing payments
- Regularly making general ledger entries
- Preparing 1099s and other taxes
- Performs month, quarter and year end reports
- Reconciliation of accounts on a regular basis with customers
- File proper disputes for payment discrepancies
- Communicate with a variety of persons including: sales team, logistics team, customers, account managers, etc.

Working hours: M-F 8-5

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
2+ years of A/P, A/R, bookkeeping experience
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Must be proficient in Excel (will be tested)
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
Ability to multi-task and be proactive
Excellent problem solving skills
Extremely detail oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older

Salary/Benefits:
Contract to Hire Opportunity
Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm or 9:00 - 6:00pm
$17 - $20 (hourly position)
