CHEESEBOY NOW HIRING A GENERAL MANAGER IN THE METRO BOSTON AREA

Founded in 2009, Cheeseboy is America’s first multi-unit fast-casual grilled cheese restaurant concept, offering a range of premium hot and cold sandwiches, homestyle soups, all-natural mac & cheese, gourmet salads, and more. While Cheeseboy currently operates 11 different company-owned locations in multiple formats, from small kiosks to sit-down fast casual environments, all restaurants are managed under Cheeseboy’s core mission: “Committed to Comfort”. Our mission is driven not only by our sourcing policies, including our focus on using as many all-natural and responsibly sourced comfort-food ingredients as possible, but also in our commitment to providing 360 degrees of comfort to guests, team members, and the communities in which each restaurant operates.

Cheeseboy is looking for strong leaders to manage our locations in the Metro Boston Area and grow with the company as we seek to expand nationally. Leadership at Cheeseboy is about mentorship and coaching, so we are looking for individuals who have a passion for developing skills in other people and creating exceptionally strong morale within our restaurant teams. In particular, Cheeseboy prides itself in adopting a “grow from within” team building philosophy, but we need to start with the right people. GENERAL MANAGER REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY

  • EXPERIENCE: Has at least 3 years of QSR/Fast Casual experience and at least 1 year of QSR/Fast Casual Assistant Manager experience. Previous GM experience preferred.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Offers exceptional customer service skills and exhibits obvious comfort interacting positively with guests.
  • SALES BUILDING: Understands the importance of, and can aggressively execute, local store marketing including sampling programs, event management, coupon distribution, and other local marketing activities.
  • PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Able to maintain and easily communicate solid knowledge of all products and services available at the restaurant
  • GENERAL MANAGEMENT: Capable of managing daily shifts and ensuring smooth, calm, and efficient store operations at all times
  • TEAM LEADERSHIP: Understands how to hire, train and treat team members with respect and kindness while leading through example and confidence
  • TROUBLESHOOTING: Easily able to troubleshoot any challenges that occur in the restaurant, including issues with POS system operations, equipment problems, customer complaints, scheduling challenges, employee issues, etc.
  • INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Clearly understands how to manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and executing weekly/monthly inventory counts.
  • P&L MANAGEMENT: Understands basic principles of reading, analyzing, and managing a P&L. This includes effective management of labor costs, COGS, and other primary expenses.
