Jobs in this family are responsible for effective, organization-wide purchasing of services, materials and supplies in order to maximize cost efficiencies, price leverage and quality while also identifying and mitigating risk to the organization. Typically oversees development of broad internal policies and strategies, specific parameters for procurement, vendor selection and negotiation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage software licenses and compliance throughout the company 
  • Complete regular reviews for Asset Management's Top Software Products identified in the License Management Program; Facilitate meetings with product owners and key stakeholders to proactively manage software assets and risk, and resolve project level action items involving licensing questions 
  • Support the software governance requirements for each business segment and provide overall software compliance guidance 
  • Engage all business teams and stakeholders that are responsible for software deployment and purchasing to help establish and enforce processes and procedures that ensure compliance and best utilization of owned software assets
  • Schedule, track, prioritize and report on asset management review sessions and manage action items 
  • Work with the operations teams to manage server software budgeting and compliance issues for corporate server migrations
  • Track software asset management metrics including cost avoidance, license harvesting, and remediation progress 
  • Complete complex compliance reviews for software products requested by product owners, financial planners, procurement, and individual business segments
  • Manage software audit projects to resolve compliance issues 
  • Consult with Procurement, Legal and IT Product Owners to update license tracking database with license contract provisions & restrictions, usage data and critical path items
  • Coordinate discussions & meetings to escalate contract issues & assess risk
  • Identify impacts to Technology Procurement projects and make recommendations for resolving action items
  • Assist Product Owners and Technology Procurement with establishing software licensing agreements that are cost effective and best meet the needs of the user community
  • Point out and recommend continuous improvements & streamlined processes
  • Document risks relative to software asset management restrictions
  • Ensure software licensing and purchase history is captured for all new corporate merger & acquisition activity 
  • Develop policies and procedures for License Management Program
  • Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors.
  • Impact of work is most often at the local level.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree
  • 5+ Years experience with IT Asset management
  • 5+ Years experience with IT Procurement
  • 5+ Years Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 5+ Years experience with Reporting Tools
Assets:
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience as a paralegal
  • SPIIA/SPA Certified Software Manager
