Exciting clinical management and leadership position with potential to grow. The Clinical Services Manager leads a team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who deliver cutting edge care in our innovative clinical model. Optum CarePlus is a national leader in developing and implementing care models that serve the frail and chronically ill population in both the nursing home and community settings. This position plays a critical role in determining the successful implementation of our clinical model and provides opportunity to demonstrate excellent management skills.
Note: Area of Responsibility extends approximately from Lynnwood to Bellingham, WA.
Key responsibilities of the Clinical Services Manager include:
- Responsible for supervision of NPs and PAs in skilled nursing facilities in Western Washington and the Greater Puget Sound area.
- Recruiting and orientating new staff; developing strategies for retaining clinical staff
- Building self-directed work teams with autonomy and accountability for their own goals/targets
- Supporting and promoting organizational goals into specific goals and objectives for clinical staff
- Developing and conducting programs that support and improve quality management and clinical performance of the Optum CarePlus clinical model in our partner skilled nursing facilities
- Planning and directing clinical and business project implementation
- Oversight and performance various administrative/operational functions to support the team
- Providing clinical/health services expertise on business development efforts
- Developing/strengthening relationships with various stakeholders
- Participating in cross-function and/or cross-geography teams
- Analyze workload environment and streamline workloads on an ongoing basis
- Analyze caseload assignments and make adjustments to shift assignments as needed
- Promote collaboration among clinical and non-clinical staff

Requirements
CSM Position Requirements:
- Strong supervisory, management and leadership skills (previous NP Supervision preferred).
- Prior long term care NP experience prefered
- Knowledge of long-term care, geriatrics and chronic illness
- Certification as a GNP, ANP or FNP, or ability to obtain
- Experience with electronic documentation and coding
- Frequent Travel to facilities within territory
- Current, unrestricted NP license in the State where position is located, or ability to obtain
- Reliable transportation
