Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a Safety Manager for our valued client located near Fond du lac, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity with a long standing company in the community. We are seeking a candidate that has a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, has completed the 30-Hour OSHA course and ideally has their ASP CSP Certification.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
• Leads Safety related activities and issues, providing regular updates and recommendations.
• Develops implements, and evaluates the organization's safety policies and procedures.
• Develops strategies and recommendations to improve work conditions by reducing eliminating physical health risks.
• Leads monthly metric creation and reporting of information to the safety governance committee
• Develops safety teams, safety awareness and recognition activities, task evaluation, facility hazard solutions.
• Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Develops and delivers educational resources and training materials for safety training including safety culture, safe operating procedures, specific workplace safety topics, and new hire safety orientation training.
• Acts as a liaison with external medical services providers for all required and voluntary occupational health services.
• Assists facility with securing the accident scene, cause investigation and analysis, documentation, corporate communication, and preparation of exhibits for resulting insurance legal issues.
• Functions as corporate OSHA compliance resource, performing compliance audits and providing management with recommendations and strategies.
• Partner with Facility Managers to represent the organization during on-site OSHA inspections.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• 30-Hour OSHA course
• ASP CSP Certification preferred
• 6+ years experience in safety related role
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong communications skills
• Able to work independently and with a team
• Able to travel around the state of Wisconsin to visit facilities
