Clinical Nurse Manager - (CNM)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $32.00 *

The manager is responsible for strategic planning and development, daily planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the activities for one of more ambulatory clinics or units. Assures the efficient day-to-day operational function of assigned areas to ensure that quality care and service are provided. Plans, organizes, directs and monitors daily clinic performance. The Manager ensures that staff adheres to system policies and procedures including Ambulatory Care standards, regulatory agencies, and nursing care standards (in collaboration with the CNO and Physician Unit Chief when appropriate to achieve targets). The Manager develops and manages the budget to target, oversees day-to-day operations of the resources (human and material), space and equipment, patient registration, scheduling, office operations, charge capture, referring physician relations, and the general business functions of the areas.

The nurse manager oversees the entire nursing unit and is responsible for all administrative functions. As part of his/her administrative duties, the nurse manager may address any of the following tasks on a given day:
  • Plan and enforce overall nursing policies, procedures, and services
  • Maintain quality of nursing staff
  • Ensure that each member of the nursing staff is constantly up-to-date in assessments, licensing, certifications, and other applicable training
  • Directly care for patients through assessments and evaluations Although the nurse manager typically works day shifts, he/she is responsible for the unit 24 hours a day and reports directly to the Director of Nursing. The nurse manager may also work within specialized settings such as:
    • Long-term care
    • Rehabilitation
    • Outpatient clinic

      Required Qualifications
      Bachelor in Business Administration or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with either a MBA or MSN preferred
      Min 3 yrs exp
