Purpose
:
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for all phases of cable construction in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies, procedures, quality work standards, customer needs, and applicable local, state and federal regulations.
Job Requirements:
Education Level:
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Experience/Skills Required:
- Skilled PC skills (MICROSOFT Word and Excel)
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Organization, self- motivation and detail are essential for this position.
- Associate must be able to communicate well at all levels, internally and externally.
- Must be able to make decisions in a timely manner to affect the most positive outcome.
- Must be dependable and willing to work overtime as needed.
- The ability to supervise the contractor of specified projects/jobs.
- Must possess a valid driver ' s license, and comply with Time Warner Cable ' s vehicle operations policy.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changing work environment.
- Cooperates with co-workers, and responds politely to customers. Works as a member of a team. Accepts change in a productive manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specialized skills:
- Ability to read Bentley design maps, moderate math skills, knowledge of NEC and NESC codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred 2 year assoc. degree in electronics or related discipline
- 5 years of CATV/Fiber construction or related technical experience (ability to diagnose basic cable loss)
Travel requirements and frequency:
- Frequent in state travel required
- Rarely out of assigned area/territory
Legal or Financial Responsibilities:
- Requires adherence to Time Warner Standards of Business Conduct.
- Position must assist in maintaining the confidentiality of customer and business data at all times.
Communication Skill level:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
