Job Scope: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for accurate worldwide shipping and logistics arrangements and communications. Logistics Coordinator will direct the efforts of the packing and freight forwarding entities to ensure that all transportation is booked, with proper documentation and all relevant Import and/or Export paperwork is prepared in accordance with Manufacturing and Weatherford Global Logistics procedures. Logistics Coordinator must be a motivated, team player with demonstrated attention to details and a sense of urgency in getting freight to its destination. Duties & Responsibilities: - Coordinate global shipment of small and large freight - Interact and develop relationships with freight and global logistics companies - Seek cost-effective shipping options, including both air and ocean carriers - Coordinate with freight forwarders and customers to ensure timely arrival of cargo - Interface with key departments and personnel to ensure logistics requirements are met while maintaining up-to-date communication - Complete and maintain accurate shipping documentation - Coordinate with freight forwarders and destination customers to acquire MOT, prepare Commercial Invoice and complete Green Light process - Maintain and/or assist with freight invoicing as required - Work with spreadsheets and databases - entering data, manipulating data and pulling reports to create and maintain cargo and shipping reports - Effectively handle strong email volume, phone calls and clerical duties as required - Receive and processes requests/inquires from other Weatherford locations - Perform work assignments with attention to detail to achieve excellence in customer service - Willingness to help others and serve as backup beyond specific assignment - Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job - Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions Requirements - Must understand international shipping documentation and terminology (customs, INCOTERMS, commercial invoicing, tariff documentation, etc.) - Understanding of the US Automated Export System (AES) - Understand and properly apply the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule, (HTS) codes - Attention to detail, with the ability to be accurate, while maintaining a fast work pace is a multitask environment - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability of dealing with both internal and external customers - Efficient written and oral communication skills; the ability to work both independently and within a team environment - Intermediate to advanced computer skills, proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook). - Adaptable to change with the proven ability and willingness to learn new processes and concepts
