CNC PROGRAMMER
HIRING IMMEDIATELY! 
A very reputable and progressive company in the Aurora area is searching a CNC Programmer. The primary focus of this position is to create and maintain CNC Programs for all CNC Work Centers, organize and maintain set up sheets and all related documents. This is a 2nd shift position and you will work from 3:15pm-11:45pm. From engineering drawings of varying degrees of complexity, writes programs, makes edits and offsets in Mazatrol, and G-code. From the same drawings completes sets ups and operates all types of C.N.C. machines such as C.N.C. lathes, C.N.C. horizontal machine centers, C.N.C. vertical machine centers, C.N.C. boring mills, C.N.C. and vertical machines: performs hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc., as needed; machine parts from a variety of materials; performs all technical duties with little or no direct supervision. Has prior experience and training skills to provide proper judgment and independently resolve routine work related problems. 

DUTIES:

  1. Maintains equipment in good working order through preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
  1. Read and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
  1. Uses shop math performing geometric and trigonometric functions required for set up and part lay out.
  1. Sets up and operates turret and engine lathes, boring mills, mills, grinders, drill presses, radial drills and vertical lathes, etc.
  1. Sets up and operates C.N.C. lathes, C.N.C. horizontal machine centers, C.N.C. vertical machine centers, C.N.C. boring mills, and C.N.C. vertical machines.
  1. Can write, edit and make offsets in C.N.C. machine programs.
  1. Machines cast iron, stainless steel, cold and hot rolled steel, aluminum, plastic, bronze, monel, and other materials as specified.
  1. Maintains specified tolerances using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging equipment.
  1. Refers to Machinist Handbook for information as needed.
  1. Sharpens and maintains tooling as necessary.
  1. Performs machining operations within management-established quality and quantity standards.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS: 

* High School Diploma/equivalent or 4 years plus related experience 

* Experience programming lathes and machining centers in Fanuc,  Mazatrol and G Code

* Read and comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints and work instructions. 

* Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check
