Chef - shift lead - Full-time / Part-time

Let's talk. I'm an easy going owner, but we are successful because of the product we produce and service we give. I love what I do. I love the food, I love the people, I love the artistry involved in its creation. I hire adults - mentally speaking. Are you ready for a change that involves a future? If so, then read on: I have a fast growing and unique pizza shop in Rock Spring, GA. I am gearing up for the busy season (and beyond) and am searching for my next team member. The successful new player will have specific qualities: Honest, Trust Worthy, Energetic with a Sense of Urgency, Love Food (love my pizza and be AS concerned about its quality as I am), be willing and able to work day-long shifts (open to close), experienced - BUT, I would rather have someone with no experience than someone who is just transitioning from one position to another (job hoppers need not apply) - experience is not a requirement but you should know some kitchen basics. Quite possibly the MOST IMPORTANT quality is that you be TEACHABLE. Mine is a very unique concept and an open kitchen. I have ways that I want everything done. I am willing to discuss minor changes with my process, but for the most part, I want everything done exactly as I want it done. If you are not teachable or have a history of trouble with your previous managers over operational issues, please do not contact me. Non-smokers only. Sorry, I realize this cuts out a big percentage of you, but I am heading toward being completely smoke free (drug free goes without saying). I am willing to assist you in becoming smoke free, but ultimately, it is up to you. I am astonished how much labor I pay to sit outside and make themselves sick. I want my people to live long and productive lives. Smoking is not the way to do that - you know it and I know it. So, be smoke free (or willing to get there). No VISIBLE body art. You should have a resume that I can print with references that I can contact. There is a 6 month probation period with this position. I will know you well by then and you know me. We can get serious about our longer term relationship after that. This position will start part time, likely 20 - 30 hours a week (I pay with direct deposit and I will strongly encourage you to have a checking or saving account for that or be paid to a debit card). Sunday and a few nights a week to start with. Eventually, it will become a salaried position. At that time, expect to work 45 - 50 hours a week (I will try to never ask for more than that, but you will occupy a key position here and from time to time, I may need to). Paid holidays will be included (Thanksgiving and Christmas) as well as a week of paid vacation for the successful candidate (once on salary). I will take care of you if you will take care of me. At this time, insurance is not an option. I wish it were, maybe some smart insurance company will come up with an affordable way to make that happen at some point in the future.
