Description

Summary:

The Business Intelligence Developer will develop and deliver accurate and timely business analytics, data extracts, and reports to business units in support of key initiatives and company strategy. This position is also responsible for optimizing and maintaining existing reports and enhancing reporting/analytic processes. He/she ensures that end users’ requirements are understood and translated into actionable data deliverables. This position will be reporting to the Director of Application Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Candidate should have in-depth expertise in designing and developing reports, analytics, dashboards and scorecards.
  • They should be able to execute all develpment activities related to report development, testing, implementation and rollout, and handling post-production support.
  • Be able to deliver parameter driven reports, charts, graphs and scorecards
  • Willing to learn new tools and technologies to be able to work effectively in a rapid growth environment with changing needs and requirements
  • The selected individual must be highly motivated and have skills in web development, database knowledge, and SQL experience.
  • Ability to work with business analysts to ensure all business requirements have been met.
  • Candidate should have a proven track record of being able to plan, prioritize, estimate, and deliver projects on time.
Qualifications

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to think strategically
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated and a strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in documenting design specifications and other related documents

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience working on at least one or more BI & Reporting products such as: WebFOCUS, Business Objects, Microstrategy, Cognos, Tableau, etc.
  • Must have experience writing and converting complex Microsoft SQL queries into reporting solutions.
  • Experience in working on medium to large scale Enterprise Data Warehouse environment
  • Experience working with financial data, a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods of time.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, computers, faxes, copiers and phones.
  • The position requires good speaking and listening skills
  • The position requires the ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Corporate office position.
  • Some travel may be required.
