Chuck Latham Associates Inc. (CLA) is building a team of energetic and outgoing Part Time Pet Products Representatives (Retail) for our various pet product lines. You will be representing and promoting pet products from our multiple partnering vendors on weekends at local pet specialty stores near you!

While working in a retail environment, you will be advocating for pets by working together with store associates and peers to bring brand awareness for some of our top selling brands. You will be engaging and educating customers to identify ways that our brands can meet their pet’s needs, while establishing trust and credibility by using your product knowledge to ultimately convert consumers to our products.

Your role will not typically exceed more than 20 hours per week; schedules vary based on store need. We do carry the discretion to change the role and hours based on the needs of the business. [ Part Time Pet Products Representative (Retail/Marketing )]
Job Responsibilities
As our Sales Representative, you will be educating and engaging store associates on featured products or promotions.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Performing some merchandising and returns
  • Involving pet parents by sharing your favorite pet stories and asking and listening to their stories
  • Working together with store associates to ensure that vendors’ products are maximized
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of a variety of vendors’ products
  • Representing CLA and its vendors in a professional manner at all times by adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Using a personal tablet to engage customers through our product application

[ Part Time Pet Products Representative (Retail/Marketing )]
Job Requirements
In this part time position, your work must be performed on Saturday or Sunday while representing multiple vendors. Hours will not typically exceed more than 20 hours per week. This opportunity requires you to be willing to maintain a positive attitude and be very socially-focused, as well as being approachable and confident while keeping an engaging, caring, and persuasive communication style. Previous retail, sales, or demonstration experience in the pet industry is a plus.

Additional requirements include:
  • Committed to working a minimum of (2) hours on Saturday and/or Sunday
  • Willing to approach and engage customers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to multi-task
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be very socially-focused
  • Approachable and confident while keeping an engaging, caring and persuasive communication style
  • Passionate about animals and care about their well-being
  • Competent at working independently with little supervision
  • Have reliable transportation and be willing to commute to work within a 25 mile radius
  • Regular access to the internet to perform job responsibilities. Familiarity with apps on smartphones or tablets strongly preferred.
  • Maintain an overall professional appearance during your shift (no visible tattoos or facial piercings). Physically be able to stand for multiple hours.
