Painter-Blasters Job Description

• Performing surface prep on tanks, shipboard piping systems, interior and exterior surface areas utilizing grinders and sandblasters

• Applying surface coating applications with brush and roll technique

• Applying surface coating applications with airless and conventional sprayers

• Adhering to shipyard safety practices

Job Requirements

• Ability to operate scissor and boom lifts up to a height of 30/feet

• Must have (5) years recent & relevant work experience painting & blasting USN, USCG or large scale ships/submarines

• Must have personal and reliable transportation

• Must be able to obtain a RAPIDGate badge

• Must be willing to work assigned shift

• Able to wear a respirator

• Work within confined spaces, on uneven surfaces and tolerate extreme weather conditions
