Our Client is looking to add a Warehouse Worker to their location in Cedar Rapids, IA.
A distributor of Heavy Construction Equipment is seeking a dependable employee to join the Warehouse team at our Cedar Rapids location. Qualified individuals must have the ability to work within a team-oriented environment, be self-motivated, able to prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks at once. Excellent customer service and communications skills are essential. Highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply. Experience with, or knowledge of Heavy Construction Equipment Parts is desirable.
Position Summary:
The warehouse clerk is responsible for a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving, stocking shelves, picking orders, arranging transportation, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position is frequently a customer facing position.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Shipping and receiving
Unloading trucks
Checking in merchandise
Matching purchase orders to sales orders
Picking customer orders and shop orders
Placing items in bins or racks according to inventory system
Ensure warehouse is accessible, safe and clean
Assist in counting of physical inventory (once per year)
Maintaining accurate inventory records throughout the year
Sweeping, dusting and mopping
Organizing warehouse and work area at all times
Arranging freight transportation
In addition to the above stated major responsibilities, various special projects may also be assigned.
Required Skills:
Customer service
Ability to operate a fork-lift safely
Be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and bend
Must be able to regularly lift and move heavy weights, up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Hours: 8am to 5pm
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Duration: Evaluation to Hire
