We are currently hiring for a Machine Operator Trainee for an upcoming project in Jasper, IN. This is an outstanding long term temporary opportunity with a reputable rubber manufacturing company.

Job Description:

Train to Operate presses and inspect parts of machine equipment

Read and understand part drawings

Use measuring equipment

Job Requirements :

• Must be detail oriented, able to identify non conforming products , read job orders ( in English), must be able to see visual defects
• Excellent communication skills, basic reading, writing and math skills , available to train for two weeks on day shift then moved into 2nd shift for work assignment
• Technical skills – able to use hand and power tools , with good hand to eye coordination and strong organizational skills, must be able to lift parts up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs occasionally with or with out accommodation from floor to operation level frequently. stand , walk or sit for 6-8 hours during a shift.
• T eamwork – Exhibits objectivity/openness to others' ideas and try new things.
• Ethics – Works with integrity , must be able to pass Spartan Staffing assessments, work history is verifiable.
• Organizational Support – Follows policies and procedures, safety awareness, ability to work in very hot environment at a fast pace, must wear safety equipment safety glasses and steel toe boots.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and criminal background check

PAY RATES: $7.95 per hour (two weeks of paid training)Evening Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday/Saturdays - Night shift: Hours 2:00 -10:00 pm Mon- Fri. then Noon - 6 pm on Saturday.
