About this job
An international engineering group that manufactures precision components and assemblies for the aerospace, industrial gas turbines, specialist automotive, petrochemical, construction, industrial, transportation and recreation markets is seeking Quality Inspectors.
DUTIES/WORK PERFORMED:
- Visually inspect, measure and verify components in various stages of assembly, meet all associated blueprints, sketches and specifications using various measurement equipment as necessary.
- Perform final inspection of product before movement to stores or shipping.
- Verify in-process quality to assure product meets all specified requirements.
- Identify and move defective product per “non-conforming material control†procedure.
- Understand and follow procedures.
- Assure part marking/identification on parts and/or routers are accurate as specified on routers and sketches.
- Assure tools/gages used are calibrated and in working order.
- Ability to properly calibrate gages/tools and maintain calibration program.
- Perform operations/tasks as specified on routers, notifying supervisor when operation not meeting requirements.
- Assist in the creation of MPOI’s to document operation task and requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6S principles to all areas of the plant.
- Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
- Follow all quality systems and operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties and training matrix.
- Follow all rules and regulations, including safety rules.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.
